The show
What is the show about?
Blue Planet III Live in Concert is a UK and European arena tour taking place in May - June 2027 that brings key moments from the Autumn 2026 BBC Blue Planet III television series to life in a large-scale live show with selected footage shown on a giant LED screen and Hans Zimmer, Thom Lukas & Laurentia Editha from Bleeding Finger’s new score performed by a live orchestra.
The live concert event is built around specially selected sequences shown on a 200 square metre Ultra HD LED screen.
The brand-new score for Blue Planet III will be performed live in sync with specially selected footage from the TV series by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
The concerts will be hosted on stage by series Executive Producer, Elizabeth White, who will share behind-the-scenes stories, challenges and discoveries from making the show.
The concert follows previous critically acclaimed BBC Earth live concerts (Blue Planet II, Planet Earth II and III).
Who composed the music?
Hans Zimmer, Thom Lukas and Laurentia Editha composed the score for Bleeding Fingers Music.
Who is the orchestra performing at Blue Planet III Live in Concert?
The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, a classical orchestra, will perform live at all venues.
The history of the orchestra goes back to the Film Symphony Orchestra (FISYO), which was founded shortly after World War II, in 1947 as the in-house orchestra for the huge Barrandov Film Studios. After separating and fully privatised it initially performed under the name Czech Symphony Orchestra but had problems with unauthorized use of the name by other Czech ensembles for themselves. Finally in 1992, after the Velvet Revolution, music producer James Fitzpatrick came up with its current name.
The orchestra is drawn from musicians of the State Opera and the Czech National Theatre, and most of its concerts take place at the opera house.
